Nepal defeated Japan by 5 wickets in the Super Six stage of the ICC T20 World Cup Asia and East Asia Pacific Qualifier played on Friday.

Japan batted first after losing the toss and scored 131 runs, losing 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.For Japan, Kendal Kadovaki-Fleming played a half-century innings, scoring 60 runs off 46 balls, with 5 fours and 3 sixes. Similarly, Isam Rahman scored 31 runs, and Benjamin Iltto Davies made 17 runs. Other batsmen could not reach double digits. Nepal completed the target in 18 overs, losing 5 wickets.

With 38 runs, Afis Sheikh made the biggest contribution for Nepal. He hit one four and four sixes in 21 balls. Kushal Bhurtel scored 21 runs and Gulshan Jha scored 28. 18 runs were scored by Rohit Paudel, the captain of Nepal, and 14 more by Dipendra Singh Airee.
