Kathmandu Gorkhas Lose To Sudurpaschim Royals

Kathmandu Gorkhas lost to Sudurpaschim Royals by by 29 runs in Nepal Premier League 2025 at the TU ground in Kirtipur, on Wednesday. Despite of early batting collapse, Sudurpashchim Royals made a winning start to their Nepal Premier League (NPL) campaign on Wednesday by defeating Kathmandu Gorkhas.  Earlier, invited to bat first, Sudurpashchim scored 147 by losing all wickets in 20 overs. Chasing a target that supposed to be easy eventually became hard to reach as Kathmandu were bowled out for 118 in 16.5 overs after losing wickets at regular intervals. Aakash Tripathi contributed 34 off 30 balls. It was John Simpson wicket that made the difference in the game. He struck 24 from 18, but the team collapses after his wicket.

Hemant Dhami, Scott Kuggeleijn and Harmeet Singh each claimed two wickets for Sudurpaschim Royals.
