Chasing a target of 129, Nepal reached the total in 15.5 overs, losing just two wickets. The opening pair of Kushal Bhurtel and Kushal Malla got off to a solid start. Arjun Saud, the opener from the previous game, was dropped, and Malla replaced him for the opening slot, marking his fourth appearance as an opener in T20Is. The duo put on 51 runs in the first powerplay.

Malla was dismissed for 19, caught by captain Mohammad Wasim off Mohammad Arfan’s bowling, after hitting 1 four and 2 sixes from 17 balls. Their 67-run partnership made the chase more comfortable for Nepal.

Debutant Santosh Yadav came in at number three but was run out for just 1 run off 4 balls, leaving Nepal at 34/2 in the 6th over. Bhurtel, however, continued to anchor the innings, making 57 runs off 31 balls, including 9 fours and 1 six, and bringing up his 14th T20I half-century.

Bhurtel then found support from captain Dipendra, with the pair putting on an unbeaten 58-run partnership for the third wicket. Bhurtel finished with a splendid 84 not out from 57 balls, including 12 fours and 2 sixes, while Dipendra remained not out on 23.

In the bowling department, UAE posted a modest total of 128/8 in their 20 overs, losing 8 wickets in the process. Nepal’s bowlers put on an impressive display. In the first powerplay, UAE had reached 47 runs but had already lost 3 wickets. Hemant Dhami made an early breakthrough, dismissing UAE captain Mohammad Wasim for a royal duck on the first ball of the match.

The wickets continued to fall at regular intervals, with Nandan Yadav claiming a brilliant diving catch to dismiss Aksadip Nath. By the 7th over, UAE had already lost 6 wickets for 48 runs. Despite this, a solid 64-run partnership between Aksadip Nath and Mohammad Arfan brought UAE back into the game. However, Sandeep Lamichhane broke the stand, dismissing Arfan for 32, caught by Dipendra.

Lamichhane then struck again, removing Khujama Tanveer for a duck, caught by Dipendra. Aksadip Nath, who played a crucial knock, scored a half-century, finishing with 53 not out off 42 balls, including 3 fours and 4 sixes.

Sandeep Lamichhane was the standout bowler for Nepal, taking 3 wickets for just 6 runs in 4 overs, including a maiden. Hemant Dhami also bowled well, picking up 2 wickets for 20 runs in his 4 overs.

This victory was crucial for Nepal, especially after their defeat in the first game, as it ensured they would avoid a series loss. The series ended in a 1-1 draw, with both teams sharing the honors.

Nepal again unable to capitalize the inning as they fell short in the last over of the inning. In a thrilling match, England defeated Nepal by 4 run. Chasing down the target of 185, Nepal team settled down on 180/6 in 20 over.

Batting first, England scored 184 for 7 in 20 over. Despite of losing frequent wicket, England batsman were able to score 184 runs. Dipendra Singh Airee and Nandan Yadav took 2 wicket each while Sandeep Lamichhane and the debutant Sher Malla took one wicket each. Meanwhile one batsman got run out for england. Debutant Sher Malla took first wicket in the first ball of his career. Powerhitter Phil Salt become the very first victim of the Sher Malla. For England, Captain Hary brook and Jacbob Bethel scored half century. All rounder Will Jacks did some damage to the Nepalese bowler with 39 of 18 balls.

Nepalese super start Sandeep Lamichhane has been signed by BPL side Rajshahi Warriors. According to the multiple news sources, Sandeep Lamichhane was reported to have signed for approximately USD 20,000 for upcoming matches in late 2025. He previously played for the Comilla Victorians in the 2018–2019 season.The 2026 BPL season will feature six teams: Chattogram Royals. Dhaka Capitals, Rangpur Riders, Sylhet Titans, Rajshahi Warriors and Noakhali Express.

Previously, Sandeep Lamichhane was among several Nepali players, including Dipendra Singh Airee, who had registered for the BPL draft. Lamichhane listed himself for $26000.

Sandeep started his campaign in BBL with some stunning spell by taking 4 wickets. This will be Lamichhane’s second stint in the BPL. He was previously signed by Sylhet Sixers for the 2019 season.

Nepal Premier League 2025 winning captain Rohit Poudel  received a car as the award for being the tournament’s outstanding player. He won an ‘Omoda E5 SUV’. Rohit scored 276 runs and took 10 wickets. His 10 wickets consists of ha-trick in the final of NPL 2025 against Sudurpaschim Royals.

Lumbini Lions became the winner of Nepal Premier League 2025 as they defeated Sudurpaschim Royals by 6 wicket. Earlier, Dipendra Singh Airee, won the toss and decided to bat. Sudurpashchim scored 85 runs, losing all their wickets in 20 overs.

Lumbini’s bowlers made Sudurpashchim’s decision to bat look wrong. In the first powerplay, Sudurpashchim was restricted to just 20 runs, losing 3 wickets. This was the first time in the current NPL that two Nepali batters, Vinod Bhandari and Ishan Pandey, opened for Sudurpashchim.

In the final ball of the first over, opener Vinod was dismissed for a golden duck. He was caught by Dinesh Adhikari off a ball from Trampelman. In the third over, Selden Jackson, who came in at one-down, was out for just 1 run after being trapped lbw by a ball from Trampelman. By the time they lost their second wicket, they had only managed 7 runs.

Next, Arif Sheikh added 6 runs before being dismissed lbw by Sher Mall on the ball of the 5th over. At 19 runs, Sudurpashchim had already lost 3 wickets and was under pressure. At the end of the 10th over, they were restricted to just 41 runs.

In the 11th over, Sudurpashchim faced another setback. Captain Rohit achieved a hat-trick. In the 4th ball of the over, Sudurpashchim’s captain and key player, Dipendra, was caught for 13 runs by Trampelman.

On the 5th ball of the same over, Dipak Bohra was dismissed for a golden duck, caught by Sandip Jora. Then, on the 6th and final ball of the over, Punita Mehra was also out for a golden duck, getting trapped lbw.

Rohit became the second player in the NPL to take a hat-trick. Previously, Sahab Alam of Kathmandu Gorkhas had achieved a hat-trick against Pokhara Avengers. After 11 overs, Sudurpashchim had managed only 44 runs and found themselves in a tough spot.

Except for opener Ishan, no other Sudurpashchim player could stay at the crease. Sher Mall dismissed Hermit Singh by having him caught off a Darcy shot. He had scored just 10 runs. Sudurpashchim’s struggles continued as their eighth wicket fell, with opener Ishan also being dismissed by Sher Mall.

In the 16th over, on the 3rd ball, Ishan, who had scored 33 runs off 51 balls with 1 four, was caught by Mobeen Shubasingh. He ended up as Sudurpashchim’s top scorer. At 8 wickets down, Sudurpashchim had managed just 71 runs. Sher Mall took 3 wickets for 18 runs in 4 overs, bringing his season tally to 17 wickets.

For the ninth wicket, Scott Kugelan made 10 runs before being out off a ball from Tilak Bhandari. After Scott’s dismissal at 10 runs, Sudurpashchim was all out for 85 runs.

For Lumbini Lions, Trampelman was the standout performer, taking 3 wickets for just 3 runs in 2.1 overs. Rohit also impressed with figures of 3 wickets for 12 runs in 4 overs, taking his season tally to 10 wickets.
