Former national coach of Nepal, Pubudu Dassanayake has joined Janakpur Bolts as a head coach for the season 2024 in Nepal Premier League. Janakpur Bolts have appointed Pubudu Dassanayake as their head coach for Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2024. He guided Nepal to their maiden T20 World Cup in 2014. He represented Sri Lanka in 11 Tests and 16 One Day International (ODI) matches.
During his professional career, he represented both Sri Lanka and Canada internationally. He has coached Everest Premier League side Bhairahawa Gladiators, and the national teams of the United States, and Canada alongside Nepal. Dassanayake made his international debut for Canada at the 2005 ICC Trophy.
